Small Art for Cozy Spaces
2025
Just in time for the holiday season, I’ve added a few new pieces to my Etsy shop. Small paintings are a great way to add a little bit of personality to your home. Measuring 5 x 7 inches or smaller, this collection is ideal for spaces that need a smaller piece with strong visual impact: bedrooms, entryways, reading nooks, or curated gallery walls. I love to frame these kinds of pieces in acrylic magnetic frames. They are affordable, come in a variety of sizes, and allow you the freedom to switch out your favorite artworks to match the season or your mood. A larger frame with a custom mat can elevate smaller artwork and make it stand out beautifully in a specially curated gallery wall in your apartment, home office, hallway, or living room. The Mountain Calls
4 x 6 inches
Watercolor Painting
This painting is for anybody who prefers to be outside enjoying a mountain hike rather than anywhere else. This piece captures that moment when you have reached your destination. You are on the edge of a river or alpine lake and the scene is almost too good to be true. The painting is inspired by early morning hikes as summer is just starting to turn to fall.
Rocky Mountain Fall
5.9 x 11.8 inches (15 x 30cm)
Watercolor Painting
This piece captures the feeling of a crisp autumn day in the Rockies featuring bold golds, greens, and blues. The painting is inspired by fall drives through Rocky Mountain National Park when the landscape is saturated in color, but winter is just around the corner.
Exploding Sunset
4 x 6 inches
Watercolor Painting
This painting brings to mind warm summer evenings, where nature's colors can awe you into silence, where a photo could never quite capture the colors or the glow of the fading sun.
Golden Hour on the Lake
5 x 7 inches
Watercolor Painting
This painting brings to mind warm summer evenings, laughter among friends, cozy nights with family. It captures the golden hour on the lake where daylight is quickly fading and the light just hits a certain way. The landscape can feel like it is practically glowing.
Floating Mountain No. 3
4 x 6 inches
Watercolor Painting
This is my last painting from my falling water series. This painting is a surreal exploration of alpine environment in Colorado, where the scenery shifts dramatically as you climb. This abstract landscape is how I imagine a series of alpine lakes along a hike cascading from one level to the next, framed by pine trees and mountain peaks.
White Ranch No. 1
3 x 5 inches
Watercolor Painting
This tiny landscape captures a quiet moment at White Ranch Park when I was standing on the trail, looking out toward a lone barn against a backdrop of the Colorado foothills. It’s the kind of scene that makes you stop mid-hike: golden grass, open sky, and that soft stillness the woods always seems to hold. I painted this piece to preserve that feeling of calm and spaciousness in a small, intimate format.
Solitary Pine
4 x 4 inches
Ink Drawing
This small original pen drawing measures 4 x 4 inches and is inspired by hiking through the alpine forests of Colorado. When you are out in the woods, no two pine trees are the same. They each have their own personality and their own story. To me, this drawing signifies the solitary strength of being in the woods. Trees stand tall, grounded, and resilient. This artwork brings a touch of that quiet strength into your home.
I have big artwork plans for 2026. Make sure to join my Collector’s Club and you’ll be the first to know when new pieces are available.
